So it has come to my attention that I have successfully and unintentionally hidden my current pregnancy. We are SUPER excited about the upcoming birth of baby #3! I have not intentionally hidden it, I simply chose not to publicly announce it at the "normal" time. After an early miscarriage last year we were hesitant to make an announcement until after the first trimester. When the first trimester was ending we were going to publicly announce. Then the day before that announcement a friend lost her daughter at 28 week gestation. Another friend was actively trying for a baby. As my heart broke for my friends I choose to not add to their pain by making our exciting announcement as their were grieving their loss. We chose to not find out babies gender at the 20 week anatomy scan. We already have enough clothes for both genders since I have saved all the clothes we bought and were given for Piper and Kendell. The only real essential things we need to buy was a new car seat since ours had expired last year and a monitor system. We daily talk about the baby and wonder if we are having a girl or a boy. Piper is adamant that she wants a sister so the baby is a girl. Kendell in the past said girl and in the last couple weeks has changed to boy. I have been horribly sick this time. No matter what I eat it makes me sick. Anything with dairy or lactose in it is worse than other food. The pattern of the pregnancy is following how it was with Piper fairly closely. If you want in on the speculation feel free to make a guess. We will meet baby in about 4-5 weeks. I personally am hoping for spring break week just because it makes child care arrangements so much easier for me.
In other news, I have not updated on here for about a year and a half. In that time I quit my job with the school district. Piper is in kindergarten and loves going to school but hates doing homework. Kendell is finally making progress in potty training that i am not cleaning up poop messes daily! We went with my parents to Disneyland last May. The kids had a blast and ask when we can go back.
