Happy Birthday to my big girl!

I think Piper enjoyed the icing more than the cake, she certainly liked licking her fingers.

The adorable cabbage patch doll given to Piper from her Uncle Blake.

Piper loves bubbles and glasses, so got both! As we started opening the gifts there was a wide space for Piper to work, slowly with each gift the kids closed in on us and soon she was on top of me trying to get space from the other kids.

After she blew out the candles she took a swipe at the icing, for the second time that day :)

Piper is now 2 years old! It is hard to believe she is growing up so fast. We converted the crib into a toddler bed around the middle of February, then for her birthday Grandma Ellen bought her a toddler bed. She loves her new bed, it is low enough to the ground that she can get in and out by herself. She still falls out about once a week but is doing really well. Some nights she will climb into bed and go to sleep on her own, other nights she wants rocked and Daddy is good and rocks her to sleep!
We had a private party on Wed. with just us, a dinner at home, presents from Grandpa Joe, Grandma Bonnie, Mom, Dad, and Great Grandma and Grandpa Waters, then a soak in Grandma Ellen's hot tub. On Saturday we had the big party with some family and friend attending. After the everyone left we counted up how many people had come, the grand total was ... 35! We had a great turnout and I think fun was had by all. We served chicken enchilladas made by Branden Harrison, the addorable ladybug cake was made by my old roommate Heather Harrison.

Our little peanut

I had my 12 week appointment and they couldn't find the heart beat. So, what do we do. Go in for an ultra sound and check up on the peanut. From here on out I will be referring to the baby as peanut or he until we know what we are having.
So, he was sleeping and didn't want to be distrubed. A few pokes and he was awake and kicked me to let us know how happy he was about being woke up. Not that I felt the kick but we were able to see it and now you can too. Everything looked good and the heart rate was 183 and he is over 2 inches long now.

Just in case you didn't notice I have posted 3 different posts today and they seem to have been bumped to older posts since they were so long. Look for them and enjoy!

Random pictures off my phone

So, except for this picture they are all uploaded backwards. Meaning the picutes you see first happened last. These are some random pictures off my phone from probably close to the last year. I think the oldest date on them was July of 2009. Enjoy! Friends playing in the toy chest made by Grandpa Joe. They pulled most of the toys out and climbed in themselves.

Sunday morning nap A surprise visit from a DEAR friend!
Playing in the downstairs bathroom Last minute Christmas shopping. Helping Adam pack when he moved out. She dumped all of his DVD's right infront of his bedroom door.

She found a permanent marker by her Daddy's computer and decided to put it to work on my fridge :( Our last visit to the park before it got too cold. Just over 18 months and getting so tall.
She got a sticker from the doctor when they told us she had an ear infection in her right ear. Ironic where she decided to put the sticker. We enjoy trying hats on and taking pictures of them. She found Adam's chex in the basement. He was willing to share until she dumped them. Then they were all hers. The long walk to school.

Her drink of choice?
While driving to the Jones Family Reunion my car hit 100000 miles so I of course had to document it.

the family room un finished

Since we can't post pictures of the finished project I decided we could at least post pictures of what it looked like around Christmas and New Years. The sheet rock was taped and mudded the few days before Christmas and the painting was done with my family here to help directly after Christmas. I did the red wall on my birthday and we started working on the floor New Years Eve. Enjoy, we certainly are!
