tubby time

Bath time seems to be the most anticipated time of each and every day. I of course enjoy my shower. It wakes me up and helps me start the day with a smile. Piper gets her tubby every evening. She loves splashing in the water or just laying in it with the water covering her all over except her face. If for some reason I think we can get away with out a bath because it is past her bed time she promply reminds me of her tubby. We go in lay her on the floor and start the water. Just doing that calms her so fast that she will lay there laughing, smiling, excited about what is happening next. She would stay in the water all day if we would let her. Getting her out and dressed is another experience. She hates getting dressed and turns it into a scream fest which ruins all we did to calm her in the bath.

family portraits

We went and had family pics taken. I had t-shirts made for Christmas that said "Mommy" and "Daddy" then spent the next few months looking for an outfit that said "Baby" for Piper. I finally found one 2 weeks before she was born. Piper was such a good baby during the photo shut. She would smile and laugh, she waited until after we were finished to cry. There were alot of fun poses and composites that we really liked.

front steps

We finally are getting our front steps fixed. When the house was being built they poured the cement for the steps while it was raining. It doing that of course the rain ruined the pour so they later came back and put a thin layer of cement to cover it. Now the cement has been coming off in big chunks. Yesterday they came and demolished the steps and the connecting piece of sidewalk. I was worried about how Piper would react to the loud sounds. She went to sleep just before they arrived and miracle of all miracles she slept until about 15 minutes before they finished. At first every time the jack hammer started pounding her eyes would flutter and she would appear to be waking up. She stayed sleeping and was such a good little girl through the whole thing. We now have a huge hole in front of our front door and people if they want to visit have to go through the garage. Hopefully they will get the new steps in next week.
